On August 1, 2025, I updated my Oppo Reno 5 Lite smartphone, and immediately after the update, the volume buttons began malfunctioning. They now activate on their own, which makes it nearly impossible to have a normal phone conversation or use apps like YouTube. This problem only started after the update, and since then, I’ve also noticed additional glitches in the device.
Another critical issue is that when I try to use the volume buttons, the phone suddenly restarts and always boots back into recovery mode. Despite powering it off and on four separate times, I am stuck in a recovery screen loop and cannot access the regular system. At this point, the device is unusable for even basic tasks.
I purchased the phone from a Vodafone store and I still have the invoice. I have not yet contacted Oppo customer service, but this issue needs urgent attention. For a device that is supposed to perform reliably, such serious malfunctions after an official software update are unacceptable.
