I’ve been using my Oppo Reno 5 Lite, but ever since the latest software update, the phone has started shutting down on its own without any warning. The issue is extremely frustrating and renders the device unreliable. It always happens when the battery drops to around 60% charge—which is not even close to low power.
After the phone shuts off, I can only turn it back on by performing a reset. Even then, it only stays on for a short while before shutting down again. Interestingly, when I keep the phone connected to a power bank, the shutdowns don’t happen, which further proves that something in the update messed up the battery or power management system.
This is a serious flaw that started immediately after the update, and I demand that Oppo fix this as soon as possible. I paid good money for a phone that I now can't even use freely without constantly worrying if it will turn off mid-use. Either roll back the update or release a patch to correct this issue urgently.
