Online Kids Academy Deleted My Unused Lesson Credits After Freezing My Subscription

Last year, I purchased a 12-month “96-Lesson Flexible Standard Package” subscription through Online Kids Academy for both my son and my sister. My subscription started on August 7, 2025, and I was sold the package with the understanding that it was a 12-month subscription.

Because my sister was going to be on vacation from June 29 to July 12, and we were going to be on vacation from July 6 to July 12, we froze our subscriptions through the system so that we could use our remaining lesson credits after returning from vacation. We did this with the understanding that we would be able to use our remaining lessons after the vacation period.

However, on July 11, 2026, I received a message from the company stating that our subscriptions had ended and that we could purchase new subscriptions if we wished. When I checked my account, I discovered that my frozen subscription had been terminated without any prior notification and that all of my unused lesson credits had been deleted. The same thing happened with the subscription I purchased for my sister.

If lessons cannot be used after the subscription end date, what is the purpose of offering a subscription freeze option? The purpose of freezing a subscription is to preserve the unused benefits during a period when they cannot be used so that they can be used later. Despite this, deleting all remaining lesson credits without any warning is unacceptable.

In addition, I discovered that the package sold by the company as a “12-month subscription” did not actually last for 12 months. Although my subscription started on August 7, 2025, it was terminated on July 9, 2026. This means that I was provided with approximately 11 months of access even though the product was marketed and sold as a 12-month package. I believe this is misleading to consumers.

My request is that all of my unfairly deleted lesson credits be restored to my account and that our subscription period be adjusted to provide the full 12 months that were promised at the time of purchase, making the subscriptions available for use through August 7, 2026. I expect the company to resolve this issue and compensate me for the inconvenience as soon as possible.
