Misleading Charges With Superprof
I subscribed to Superprof in January 2026 and was led to believe I was paying a one‑time fee of $49 USD to use the platform. Only much later did I realize that I had in fact been placed into an automatic renewal subscription of $49 per month, which continued to be charged from January through August 2026, even though I did not use the service at all for the last seven months. When I contacted Superprof support to request a reimbursement, my request was refused. The justification given was a single line mentioned at the very bottom of a longer email, which I did not see or understand as clear notice of an ongoing auto‑renewal subscription when I signed up. I consider this practice misleading, as the automatic monthly charges were not presented in a transparent and prominent way at the time of purchase. I cancelled the auto‑renewal on August 6, 2026, immediately after discovering these repeated charges. I am asking Superprof to review my case and provide a full or at least a fair partial refund of the eight monthly payments that were taken without my informed consent and without any use of the service during most of that period.
After making a third complaint I was just given 4 months of refund from Superprof and I appreciate the partial refund of $196.
