I am trying to complete the identity verification process on the OKX mobile app. Since I no longer have a Turkish Republic ID card, I attempted to apply with my Blue Card, but the system only allows verification with a Turkish Republic ID card. In other words, the system does not even let me submit an application with a Blue Card.
I was born and raised a Turkish citizen, and I have all the necessary documents, including my residence certificate. Two years ago, I renounced my Turkish citizenship and now hold a Blue Card. I maintain active accounts in Turkish banks and earn income in Turkish lira. In order to purchase cryptocurrency, I need to use Turkish lira, which requires me to have an OKX TR account.
When I contacted customer service, I was told that verification could only be completed with a Turkish Republic ID card and that no alternative method was available. For users like me who hold a Blue Card, I am requesting that an alternative verification option (such as allowing verification with a driver’s license) be provided. I expect a prompt solution and response regarding this issue.
