Nissan Navara 2018 Timing Chain Failed at 166,000 km – Unexpected and Costly Repairs

I own a 2018 Nissan Navara with only 166,000 km on it, and yet the timing chain and camshaft have worn out completely. I’ve always used the best oils and never ran the engine dry or overheated it. My mechanic told me, “This is a common issue with these models.” How can such a highly praised vehicle wear down like this without any off-road use or extreme conditions? On top of that, the parts are extremely expensive, as if it’s a luxury car like a Mercedes. Navara is often talked about as a reliable vehicle, but my experience has been a huge disappointment.
