Post-Purchase Cracks in New Balance Shoes

Last year, I purchased a pair of shoes from the official New Balance website. Cracks started to appear on the sides and front of the product. I sent the shoes back for inspection, but I have not received any messages or emails regarding their status. Today, I received a shipping notification stating that the product is out for delivery.
I am surprised by the lack of attention given to a product I trusted. When I called customer service for information, I was told that the inspection result was negative because the product was wet. Honestly, am I not allowed to wear the shoes in the rain? Should I take them off and walk barefoot when it rains? I don’t understand this logic.
From now on, I will never choose this brand again. I will also advise my friends and family not to choose a company that does not stand behind the products they sell.
