AJet Staff in Beirut Refused Check-In and Cancelled Our Flight Unfairly
On 7 May, my sister and I were scheduled to travel with Ajet on flight V260 with PNR 44EY35 from Beirut to Ercan, with a transit at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. We had purchased our tickets via the Ajet website. At the airport in Beirut, the employee who was supposed to issue our boarding passes and assist with check-in refused our clear willingness to pay for the extra baggage weight and declared us off-board, cancelling our tickets immediately without any attempt to listen, understand our situation, or offer a solution. We were not late for the flight, and it was entirely possible to complete our travel simply by allowing us to pay for the additional baggage. While we were being denied boarding and our tickets were cancelled, another passenger arrived after us and was allowed to board without issue, which made the situation feel even more unfair and discriminatory. We also tried to explain that this trip was very important for our university obligations and that we had come from an active war zone in southern Lebanon, but neither the employee nor the manager showed any understanding or respect for our circumstances. I consider the behaviour of the staff representing Ajet in Lebanon to be unfair, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Instead of trying to help us solve a straightforward issue by allowing us to pay for extra baggage, they deprived us of our flight and caused us serious stress and hardship. I have already submitted a feedback form through the Ajet website, but I have not received any response so far. I request a full refund of our tickets and expect Ajet to review the conduct of the ground staff and management at Beirut, as such treatment directly harms the company’s relationship with its customers. I believe this situation should be examined seriously and handled in a way that reflects fairness and respect towards passengers.
Ajet staff prevented me from boarding by refusing to accept payment for extra baggage, cancelled my tickets, and offered no solution. I am requesting a full refund.
