Citroen C4X Vibration Issue And Unfair Warranty Refusal
I purchased my Citroen C4X 1.2 PureTech Max Full+Full Pack automatic in May 2025. About a month after purchasing the vehicle, while driving on the highway at speeds of 100–120 km/h during a holiday trip to my hometown, I noticed a distinct vibration. Since the engine was still in the break-in period, I assumed this might be normal and did not expect such an issue from a brand-new vehicle, so I decided to report it at the first scheduled maintenance within the warranty process. On 5 May 2026, during the 1-year periodic maintenance at the Istanbul Can Citroen authorized service center, I explained this situation in detail. After their tests, I was informed that the vibration I had been experiencing was caused by the brake pads. However, they told me that the warranty coverage for brake pads is limited to only the first 6 months and 8,000 kilometers, and therefore, the repair would not be covered by the warranty. They stated that a case would be opened with the Stellantis Group warranty department and that I would receive a response within two business days. On the third day, I was called and told that the issue was considered out of warranty. The service also informed me that the cost of the brake pad replacement would be 6,000 Turkish lira. I did not accept this because the vibration problem has existed since the very first months of use, and I had acted in good faith by attributing it to the break-in period and waiting until the first maintenance to report it. The vibration still persists today, especially at speeds between 100–120 km/h on long trips, and this situation clearly affects both my driving comfort and my sense of safety. I am disappointed that a problem that emerged so early in a newly purchased vehicle is not being covered within the scope of the warranty. I expect Citroen and Stellantis to prioritize customer satisfaction, to consider that this is a pre-existing issue, to evaluate the brake pads under warranty, and to perform the brake pad replacement without charging me any fee.
I haven't received a response yet, my request for the brake pads to be considered under warranty has still not been resolved, and this situation makes me feel very bad.
