In July 2024, I purchased the New Balance 9060 directly from the brand’s official website. After only a few wears, the inner lining began to deform, and over time, this deformation turned into a tear. I sent the shoes in for inspection, expecting a fair evaluation, but I was told the issue was due to “user error.”
I strongly disagree. During the same period, I also purchased a pair of New Balance 530s, and despite similar usage, they show no signs of wear or damage. That comparison alone suggests that this isn’t a matter of how I used the product—it’s clearly a defect in the 9060’s construction or materials.
For a shoe at this price point, I expected much better quality and durability. The 9060 has completely failed to meet those expectations, and I feel disappointed and let down by the brand's refusal to take responsibility.
I am requesting a full replacement of the defective item. New Balance must stop defaulting to the “user error” excuse and start standing behind the quality of its products. Please take the necessary steps to resolve this issue immediately.
