I Want My New Balance 9060 Shoes Replaced After Heel Tear in Just 1.5 Months

I purchased a pair of New Balance 9060 sneakers from the official website in July 2024. Although I only wore them for about a month and a half—rotating them with other shoes throughout the week—the interior lining started to deform within just a few wears. As I continued to use them, the damage worsened into a noticeable tear, particularly around the heel area.

I sent the shoes in for inspection, but my claim was dismissed as “user error.” I find this explanation unacceptable, especially considering that I also purchased the New Balance 530 model during the same period and have had zero issues with that pair. The difference in performance between the two strongly suggests this is not a user-related problem, but rather a quality defect specific to the 9060 model.

Given the price I paid, I expected long-term durability and quality. I took good care of these shoes, and the wear they’ve endured is far beyond what’s reasonable in such a short amount of time. I returned to the store where I made the purchase, and was initially told I would receive a response in two weeks. When I followed up, I was informed that my request had been denied.

The product is still under warranty, yet my claim was dismissed. I am once again requesting a replacement for the 9060 pair. If this request is denied, I will file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. Customers deserve products that last and fair treatment when they don’t.
