I bought a pair of New Balance 530 sneakers from the Sneaks Up store in Mall of Istanbul on July 9, 2024. Less than a year later, on June 10, 2025, I had to return them due to a tear in the mesh fabric of the right shoe. I take extremely good care of my shoes and always use them cautiously, so I was surprised and disappointed by the damage.
The store sent the shoes in for inspection, and I received them back on June 23, 2025, with the response that there was “no manufacturing or material-related defect.” I completely disagree with this. I’ve used many sneakers over the years, and none have worn out like this—especially within such a short time frame and with this level of care. It’s also worth noting that many others are reporting similar mesh tearing issues with this model, which further proves that this may be a design or quality flaw.
I paid a premium price expecting premium durability, and I feel let down. I request that New Balance either replace the product or issue a refund. It is unacceptable for a shoe at this price point to deteriorate so quickly, and I’m asking the company to take responsibility and resolve my complaint.
