Nautica Rejected My Warranty Claim for a Defective Crossbody Bag

About six months ago, I purchased a cream-colored Nautica crossbody bag, approximately wallet-sized, for my daughter from the Nautica store at Erasta Shopping Mall in Edirne. After only a relatively short period of normal use, the zipper began malfunctioning. It frequently fails to close properly, making the bag unreliable and difficult to use.
When I returned the bag to the store and explained the issue, I was informed that it would be sent to Nautica's inspection center for evaluation. Later, I received a report dated July 25, 2025, stating that the damage had been classified as wear caused by customer use and was therefore considered customer error. I strongly disagree with this conclusion. The bag was used carefully under normal conditions, and it is unreasonable for such a zipper defect to develop so soon. Classifying this problem as customer misuse has been extremely disappointing.
Because the zipper failure occurred while the product was still under warranty, I request that Nautica reevaluate the defect as a manufacturing or material issue rather than user error. I expect the company to provide a fair resolution by replacing the bag with a new one or issuing a full refund if a replacement is not possible.
