My Nautica Linen Shorts Developed Fabric Damage After One Wear

On June 30, I purchased a pair of Nautica linen shorts from the Nautica store at Armada Shopping Mall in Ankara. After wearing them only once and without washing them even a single time, I noticed a significant fabric deformation. Concerned that the product had a manufacturing defect, I returned the shorts to the store on July 15 for inspection.

Approximately 10 days later, I was informed that the damage had been attributed to improper washing and user error, and that my request for a replacement or refund had been denied. This explanation makes no sense because I wore the shorts only once and never washed them. Blaming the issue entirely on customer misuse despite these facts has seriously damaged my confidence in Nautica's product quality and customer service.

I request that Nautica conduct a new and impartial evaluation of the fabric defect, taking into account that the shorts were never washed and were used only once. If the damage is determined to be caused by a manufacturing or material defect, I expect the product to be replaced. If a replacement is not possible, I request a full refund. I also want to note that I intend to pursue the appropriate consumer protection channels to seek a fair resolution if this issue is not properly addressed.
