My Nautica Shorts Ripped the First Time I Wore Them

About one and a half years ago, I purchased a pair of Nautica shorts from the Nautica store in Kuşadası. I had never worn the shorts until last week. The very first time I put them on, the fabric suddenly tore on both sides of the back during normal use. I am 65 years old, and I have never experienced anything like this with any clothing item. In my opinion, a quality garment should not tear on its own under ordinary wear, especially the first time it is used.

I returned the shorts to the store, and they were sent for inspection. After conducting what I believe was an internal and impartiality-lacking evaluation, Nautica informed me by text message that there was no manufacturing or quality defect. My inspection case, No. NAU55023, was rejected. I strongly disagree with this conclusion because I believe the damage was caused by a manufacturing or fabric defect rather than customer use.

I request that Nautica take responsibility for what I believe is a defective product and resolve my complaint fairly. I ask the company to either replace the shorts with a new pair or issue a full refund. I also request that my claim be reviewed objectively, taking into account that the shorts failed during their very first use under normal conditions.
