MyIQ.com Started a Subscription After a $1 Payment

On February 1, 2026, I made a $1 payment on the MyIQ.com website solely to take a simple test. This is the only transaction that I explicitly authorized. I did not authorize any subscription, recurring payment, or membership plan, nor did I take any action indicating that I accepted any contract or terms and conditions beyond that one-time payment.

Despite this, starting on February 15, 2026, I noticed that $29.99 was being charged to my card regularly during the first half of each month without my knowledge or authorization. These transactions appeared on my İş Bankası credit/debit card statement with the description “myıq.com/US (books, music, games, DVDs, etc.) $29.99.” The charges were approximately **$28 in February, $28 in March, $28 in April, $29 in May, $29 in June, and $30 in July**. A total of approximately **$173** was charged to my card without my permission over these six months.

I was never informed about these transactions in any way. I did not receive an email or SMS stating that a subscription had been started, nor did I see any clear confirmation screen authorizing recurring payments. Although I only agreed to the $1 test payment, automatically starting a recurring subscription in the background without clear disclosure is extremely problematic, both legally and ethically.

I request a full refund of all amounts totaling approximately **$173** that were charged to my card by MyIQ.com without my knowledge or authorization, without any deductions for exchange-rate differences or fees. I also request that this unauthorized subscription and all recurring payments be canceled immediately and permanently, and that no outstanding balance or future charges be left on my account.

I also request that the chargeback/dispute process be initiated with my bank and that MyIQ.com take immediate action to refund all amounts it collected without my authorization. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will pursue the necessary legal remedies.
