I took my MG HS to the Maslak authorized service center due to a battery charging issue. Initially, they charged the battery and told me to monitor it, suggesting a detailed inspection later if the problem persisted. When the issue continued, I scheduled another appointment, and my car was kept in service for a full day.
After diagnostics, they confirmed that the battery needed replacement under warranty and told me they had received the necessary approvals. However, just as I was about to pick up my car after the battery replacement and testing, they suddenly decided to recheck the system. They then claimed that my in-car camera was drawing power when the ignition was off and revoked the warranty replacement, stating that I would have to pay for the new battery myself.
This is completely unacceptable and unlawful. The service center failed to provide any technical report, video proof, or written document supporting their claim, despite my repeated requests. Even after showing them evidence from another service center proving that the battery was not drawing excess power, they ignored the findings.
The MG service center is violating consumer rights by reversing an approved warranty claim and using faulty diagnostic methods. I have already taken legal action regarding this injustice. MG, how will you address this? I demand a resolution and my rightful warranty-covered battery replacement!
