MG ZS Gear and Engine Issues—Warranty Denied
I bought a brand-new MG ZS in November 2023, expecting reliability. Yet, within the first year, I started experiencing serious transmission issues. The car had to be towed to the service center, where they claimed to have fixed it. Soon after, I noticed it leaking oil, and when I checked the dipstick, the oil level was dangerously low. The service center in Bodrum took it back, supposedly repaired it, and returned it. Then, the engine warning light came on. I took it back again—they “fixed” it, but within 20 km, the light turned on again. This time, I sent it to Fethiye, and once again, they claimed it was resolved. I didn’t even drive 10 km before the warning light reappeared!
Now, my car has been stuck at the service center for over 30 days, and I’m left without a solution. Despite MG promising a 5-year warranty, they are refusing to cover the repair, claiming it’s not a warranty issue. Instead, they are demanding an outrageous ₺197,500 for repairs! This is completely unacceptable. How can a barely one-year-old car have this many major problems, and why isn’t MG standing behind their warranty? MG needs to take full responsibility and repair my car without charging me. I won’t accept this blatant disregard for customers. Has anyone else faced this issue? MG, fix this immediately!
