MG4 Headlight Moisture Issue—Denied Warranty Repair Despite Internal Damage

MG4 Headlight Moisture Issue—Denied Warranty Repair Despite Internal Damage

I purchased an MG4 electric vehicle from an official dealer in December 2023, and soon after, I noticed moisture buildup in the left headlight. When I reported the issue, I was told it was temporary and normal, so I didn’t worry too much.

However, by the time my vehicle was due for maintenance, the issue had worsened. When I requested an inspection, the service team claimed the headlight was internally cracked and conveniently labeled it a non-warranty issue. They couldn’t even explain how an internal crack could happen without external impact, yet they insisted on charging me for the repair.

Buying a brand-new car should not come with hidden defects and warranty loopholes. This experience taught me never to trust the dealership or service center blindly—even with a new vehicle, always get an independent inspection!
