Recently, I was transferring funds from my Mexc account to another platform—still my own account—when I noticed I had accidentally entered the wrong wallet address. I immediately canceled the transaction before entering any SMS or email verification codes, yet the money was still sent out.
This makes absolutely no sense. If I never completed the verification steps, how could the transaction go through? I contacted customer service right away and requested a cancellation, but they refused, claiming I had confirmed the transfer. I’m 100% sure I didn’t input the codes, and I canceled it before finalizing anything.
This looks like a serious security flaw in Mexc’s system. Users should be able to cancel a transfer if they haven’t verified it—and Mexc should not process incomplete transactions.
I demand a full refund of the money that was wrongfully sent. A platform of this size should take accountability for its own system failures. Don’t penalize users for issues they didn’t cause.
