MentalUP Charged Me for a Year During a Seven-Day Free Trial
We had previously used the MentalUP app, which was still installed on our phone, and signed in again at approximately 5:37 p.m. on June 21, 2026. We saw an option advertising a seven-day free trial and selected it. Normally, these trials allow users to cancel through the subscription settings before the seven-day period ends without being charged. However, that did not happen this time. An annual membership was activated immediately, and our card was charged without any warning or clear disclosure.
The payment was charged to our Yapı Kredi card through Google Play under order number GPA.3394-0155-7135-75452. We use the app on an Android device. We did not use the app at all after this transaction, which should be verifiable through the company’s system records.
We never intended to purchase an annual membership and only wanted to use the advertised seven-day free trial. We are therefore requesting the cancellation of this annual subscription, which we believe was activated without our informed consent, and a full refund of the amount charged to our card.
