Lufthansa Charged Extra for Luggage & Items Stolen from My Bag – No Response

27

On January 6, 2025, I flew with Lufthansa from Philadelphia to Turkey with two layovers. Despite being entitled to two checked bags, I was wrongfully charged an extra $100 for luggage. On top of that, I had a 56-pound suitcase (only 2.5 kg overweight), and they charged me $200 for the excess weight.

When I objected to these unfair charges, I was met with extremely rude and unprofessional behavior from the airline staff.

As if that wasn’t enough, upon arriving in Turkey, I discovered that items had been stolen from my luggage. I immediately reported the issue and filed a complaint, but weeks later, I still have no response or resolution.

This is completely unacceptable customer service from Lufthansa. I demand a full refund for the unfair baggage fees and compensation for the stolen items. Lufthansa, take responsibility for your passengers' belongings and provide the service people pay for!
