Lufthansa Overcharged Me for Baggage, Ignored Refund Request for Seven Months

November 3, 2025 1:23 AM17

On April 22, 2025, I traveled from Newark Airport with a connecting flight in Frankfurt via Lufthansa. Although my ticket included the right to check two pieces of luggage, I was charged an additional $100 at the airport. I made the payment by credit card and received a receipt.

Since the flight, I have been trying to resolve this unjust overcharge. From the first day, I have been in contact with the Lufthansa Istanbul Office, both by phone and email. I have repeatedly submitted all necessary documents and proof of payment. Following my conversation with Ms. S., I was given the case tracking number FB ID 41622508.

However, it has now been seven months, and I have not received any refund or a satisfactory response.

Despite providing all the required documents, I am requesting that my issue be resolved and that the $100 charge be refunded to me. The transaction was made in Mersin, and I expect this issue to be handled promptly.
