I Flew Lufthansa Business Class but Was Denied a Meal Due to “System Selection”
On July 1, 2025, I purchased a Business Class ticket with Lufthansa for a flight from Istanbul to Frankfurt. I paid a premium expecting the full service that Business Class promises—including meal service. However, to my shock, I was told mid-flight that only 15 meals had been loaded for the 16 Business Class seats. Somehow, the system had “randomly” selected me as the one passenger who would not receive a meal.
Instead of being served like every other Business Class traveler, I was told I could only have drinks. This is completely unacceptable. How does Lufthansa justify selling Business Class tickets without guaranteeing a meal for each paying passenger?
No formal apology, no compensation, no accountability—just a shrug and a claim that the system chose me. If I wanted to be randomly denied service, I would’ve flown economy. This is the final straw. I demand a written explanation and appropriate compensation for this humiliating and unfair treatment. Lufthansa must stop treating its customers like afterthoughts.
