LifeStance Billed Me for Sessions I Never Had - Gave No Explanation
The LifeStance Health therapists were genuinely excellent. Though it was a little expensive, I had two sessions and intended to keep with it. Then, though, I began receiving text alerts on overdue payments. I paid what I owed, but more payment texts arrived—even though I hadn't attended any fresh sessions. I tried phoning LifeStance, sat on hold for thirty minutes, then gave up and asked for a callback. Nobody ever got back to me. Someone called to tell I should pay a balance first before my next session. She acknowledged she could see it when I inquired why I had been charged twice for the same days, but she was unable to provide a bill or explanation. Her answer: Just pay it; deal with insurance personally. Stress related to mental health treatment ironic, correct?
