Problematic Squeaky Speakers on Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 Laptop
On September 14, 2023, I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 laptop with the serial number MP2CL8Y5, which was delivered to me on September 16, 2023. Due to noise issues in the speakers, I contacted Lenovo technical support on November 29, 2023, seeking assistance. They advised me to update drivers and perform actions such as formatting the computer. Despite carrying out all the specified measures, the sound problem was not resolved.
I contacted customer support again, and considering potential hardware issues, they suggested sending the device for repair. I declined part replacement for a two-month-old device and sent it to the address provided to me on December 4, 2023. The device was delivered on December 5, 2023.
On December 6, 2023, I contacted technical support again to inquire about the device's status. Despite being provided with a tracking code, I learned that no repair request had been created. The request was reopened, and upon its reopening, I clarified that I disagreed with repairing the device. Customer support informed me that if hardware issues arise within 6 months of purchase, I have the right to exchange the device or receive a refund.
With request number 2015856163 and registration number 4010704102, the request was opened on December 11, 2023. On December 11, 2023, I received an email with shipment tracking details. Upon reviewing the details, I learned that the device was returned to me from the service. To clarify the work done, I called Lenovo technical support on December 12, 2023, and was informed that the speaker had been replaced. I expressed my dissatisfaction with work being done on the device without prior notification to me and that I have the right to a refund or device exchange. The support representative informed me that the request was opened as a repair request and that I had not requested a device exchange or refund. I categorically reject part replacement for a two-month-old device and demand my legal right to a refund or device exchange.
