Our KitchenAid filter coffee maker, which is only 8 months old, broke down, and we were told we had to package it ourselves and send it to Ankara for repairs. To make matters worse, the shipping company informed us that the shipment would not be insured, meaning all the responsibility falls on us because KitchenAid doesn't insure it. After sending it off, we were told the issue was with the mainboard, and it would be replaced. We were hopeful at first, but then we were informed that it would take 4 weeks for the new product to arrive. When the 4 weeks passed, no one contacted us, so we called, only to be told that it would take another 2-3 weeks because the product still hadn't arrived. How can a company as big as KitchenAid not keep stock of replacement products? As a small business owner importing products from Italy, I always keep stock ready for replacement in case of defects, and these products cost around €5000! It’s a simple solution. I hope our coffee maker arrives soon because our coffee enjoyment has turned into a coffee nightmare for the past 4 weeks!
