Hello, I want to express my disappointment with the KitchenAid brand regarding my recent experience. I purchased the KitchenAid Artisan 4.8L Stand Mixer (model 5KSM175PS Contour Silver-ECU) from the authorized store in Ankara Kentpark. Upon first use, the mixer emitted smoke and operated very loudly. During our conversation with customer service, they mentioned that this was normal for the first ten uses due to the varnish burning, which could cause smell and smoke. However, since the smell, smoke, and excessive noise did not stop, we returned it to the store and sent it for service through the store.
When the product returned from service, it arrived with scratches on the top and bottom. When we called service, they claimed it must have happened during shipping. Such a response is unworthy of the KitchenAid name. We tried to remain calm and started using it again. Even during short uses, it began to overheat, and after a month, the loud operation returned. This time, I personally went to the service located in Gimat. To prevent further scratches, I explained everything to the service, stating that the product was not functioning normally and that we had friends who had used it for years without any issues. We expressed our desire for a replacement. However, they informed us that maintenance had been performed, some gears had been replaced, and the noise was due to that.
Despite spending a significant amount of money, my disappointment continued. We returned home and started making a cake, only to be overwhelmed by the smell and smoke. The varnish smell made me think about how hard the machine must have been working, and the batter did not mix properly, leaving lumps of flour in the bowl. I took the product back to the store, repeatedly stating that there was a problem with the machine and that I wanted a replacement. I am exhausted from these visits and have lost my enthusiasm for the brand and the machine. Today, they called to say, "There is no problem with the machine; we adjusted the calibration settings. We are sending it back." I believe this is a completely superficial job.
The product operates with an extreme metallic noise, and the smell and smoke are concerning. It fails to mix properly, leaving lumps in the batter. I have purchased a defective product, but I do not understand why KitchenAid refuses to acknowledge this. I know others who use the same product and are extremely satisfied. My request for a replacement remains. Thank you for your attention.
