Karaca Cookware Lid Shattered While Cooking and Caused Injury

I purchased the Karaca Bio Granit Lena 9-piece cookware set from Karaca’s official website on November 21, 2023, and have been using it for about three years. Today, I experienced a very serious safety issue while cooking with one of the pots from this set. While the pot was simmering on low heat on the stove and we were sitting at the table without touching it, the glass lid suddenly exploded, sending glass shards everywhere. Some of these glass pieces hit my foot and caused injury.

If this incident had happened while we were standing next to the stove, it could have led to much more severe consequences, such as eye injury, serious burns, or permanent damage. Due to the explosion, we also had to throw away the entire meal—approximately 1 kg of cubed meat, butter, and bulgur—because of the risk of ingesting glass fragments.

This incident not only posed a serious threat to our safety but also caused financial loss. Therefore, I request that Karaca replace my entire Karaca Bio Granit Lena 9-piece cookware set (Order Number: 66456432) with a new, safe, and defect-free set free of charge. I also ask that this safety issue be urgently investigated and that necessary precautions be taken to prevent similar incidents from happening to other customers.
