Arçelik Glass Stove OCD T 651 ES Shattered While I Was Cooking
On September 15, 2025, while cooking on my Arçelik OCD T 651 ES built-in glass stove, I suddenly heard a noise, and the pot jumped into the air. I saw that the glass surface of the stove had completely shattered. I have been using the product for about a year, and it is under warranty until 2032. I purchased the stove from the Arçelik store in Ankara Ankamall, where it was also installed. The next day, the Arçelik service team came and stated that there was no user error or impact on the product, suggesting that air may have been trapped in the glass during manufacturing, indicating a possible production defect, and requested a replacement. However, later we were contacted by the Ankara Regional Office, which said that engineers had detected an impact mark on the stove and that only a paid replacement could be made. Yet, the service report clearly stated there was no user error. Despite requesting copies of the service and engineer reports, they were not provided to us. Throughout this process, we submitted multiple complaints and requests both by phone and through the company’s website, but we never received a written response. Each time, we were told that the replacement would not be made unless we paid for it. Although my stove is still under warranty and there was no user error, my request for a free replacement or refund was rejected. I request that my stove be replaced free of charge or that I receive a refund. I have all the necessary documents and service records. I kindly ask that my grievance be resolved.
