My Disappointing Stay at Ibis Hotel in Japan- Bad Review
I booked two 14m² rooms at the Ibis Hotel in Japan for my family. When I got there, I found out that the room for our kids had just one double bed, which wasn't big enough for all of them. I quickly told the hotel management. But they were firm that they were not required to offer an additional bed or breakfast for my 12-year-old. Even though my other two kids are 18 and 19 years old, they wouldn't give us extra beds because the booking company didn't ask for them. When I asked for the beds to be split up, they insisted on an additional $1,000. I was told that even though I paid in advance for a reservation for five people, I would have to share two double beds that are only 8m² each. Also, if I decided to cancel the reservation, I wouldn't get a refund. I tried to fix the problem with the booking company, but it didn't work, so now I'm stuck in Japan. I felt powerless when I was informed that nothing could be done, following the typical procedures of hotels in Eastern countries.
