I bought a Hotpoint Ariston washing machine on November 25, 2017, and decided to get a warranty extension for an additional 3 years. There was a problem with a water pipe under the detergent drawer, which caused a power outage. Even though they tried to fix the problem, it kept happening, so they brought the case to Vestel.
In April 2019, I asked to return a product that I believed was faulty, but the person in charge decided not to allow it. So, on April 12th, 2019, a technician came over to fix the hose under the detergent compartment that was always leaking. They used silicone to fix it and gave the machine back, but now it's vibrating. People complained and that's how they found out the shock absorbers were damaged. Even though they changed the sealing ring, the problem still didn't go away. The new part came, but it took a whole month before they finally fixed it.
I talked to customer service through WhatsApp on October 13, 2023. So, turns out they messed up the warranty end date, and I brought up the issue of rust. On October 16, 2023, someone from customer service asked me for the warranty document again. I had sent it before, but I couldn't find it.
We taped the detergent compartment to stop water from getting in, and then we kept washing. But the compartment broke and someone got hurt. I reached out to customer service on WhatsApp, but they took 10 days to respond. On October 23, 2023, the company said that the warranty doesn't cover the detergent compartment and rust, and they asked for 3-4 thousand dollars to fix it.
I messaged customer service to ask why I couldn't replace a detergent compartment that broke two days ago, even though I bought a supplementary warranty six years ago. The new breakage was clean and white, unlike the old one that was used as an excuse. I said that if something is old and broken, it will likely have dirt, mold, and rust on it. Even though we reported rust while our warranty and extended warranty were still valid, they disappointed us. The warranty covers all parts. So, I've been sending pictures and receipts for the past 10 days, and now I have to report once more about the detergent compartment and the rust on the perforated body. Legal action is about to happen.
