Vestel Hotpoint Ariston Washing Machine Repair Fiasco

I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Vestel's appliance repair service. I reside in Küçükbakkalköy/Ataşehir and own a Hotpoint Ariston washing machine. Since Hotpoint has withdrawn from the Turkish market, Vestel has taken over their servicing responsibilities. However, their service has fallen far short of my expectations.

My ordeal began when I contacted Vestel due to my washing machine's excessive noise. The technician who visited diagnosed a faulty drum and quoted a replacement cost of 9,000 ₺. Opting to repair rather than replace, I agreed to the procedure. After the drum replacement and installation, the machine started displaying error codes. When I informed the installation team of the error codes, they claimed they couldn't assist me further.

A separate technical support team arrived and declared the issue resolved. However, within a few days, the error codes reappeared. This time, the service representative informed me that the washing machine's motherboard had burned out and required a replacement at a cost of 4,000 ₺. Considering the previous expenses, I reluctantly consented to the motherboard replacement.

The young technician who came to install the new motherboard appeared inexperienced. The machine continued to malfunction, and the technician, unable to identify the problem in the system logs, suggested formatting the motherboard but admitted he didn't know how to proceed.

Nearly 10 days have passed since these incidents, and my washing machine remains unusable. I need not elaborate on the inconvenience of living without a washing machine for two weeks. While Vestel's head office customer service representatives were courteous, they were unable to provide any effective solutions.

Based on this disheartening experience, I will no longer consider Vestel as a brand for my appliance needs.
