I made a reservation on Hotels.com with travel plan number 72056939037189 for the dates 20.07.2024 to 25.07.2024. Initially, I searched for a reservation for 2 people, but it automatically changed to 1 person. I realized this after making the payment. After 4 hours of trying to reach someone online, I finally spoke to an unhelpful person. They informed me that converting my reservation to 2 people in the same room would cost an additional ₺9245. When I contacted Club Beyy Resort, they stated that there was no penalty since we did not change the dates or reduce the number of people. However, they did not provide an exact amount for the difference, so I had to pay this additional fee.
Despite writing multiple times, they kept asking for different information each time, delaying the process. I will now apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
I want to warn others that when booking through companies affiliated with Expedia, you may not be able to reach real people, and they may waste your time with virtual meetings. Attached is the actual charge of ₺69,552 that was taken from me.
