Hotels.com Charged For A Hotel Stay I Never Received
I made a reservation at Britannia Hyde Park Hotel in London through Hotels.com, under reservation number 72069407475380. Payment of 28,922.36 TL was taken on 24 December. My intention was to stay at the hotel from 28 December 2025 until 3 January 2026. However, due to an honest booking mistake, the reservation was accidentally made for the dates 28 January 2026 to 3 February 2026 instead. When I arrived at the hotel in person on 28 December 2025, I explained that I was physically there and that the date selection had been mistaken, and I asked to check in or at least change the dates. Despite the fact that I was at the hotel on the intended dates and had clearly not used the room or any services, I was refused check-in and was not allowed to stay. No accommodation or service of any kind was provided to me, and I did not stay at the hotel at all. Hotels.com informed me that they contacted the hotel on my behalf, but the hotel refused to approve any form of refund, stating that the reservation was non-refundable. No alternative solution, such as a date change, voucher, or partial refund, was offered, even though no service was rendered. I find it unacceptable that I have been charged the full amount of 28,922.36 TL for a stay I never used and for which the hotel incurred no cost for my presence on the intended dates. I kindly request a fair resolution, such as a full refund of the amount charged or, at a minimum, a reasonable and customer-oriented solution that reflects the fact that no accommodation or services were provided to me.
