HBO Max charged me twice this month, how can I get my refund?

If HBO Max charged you twice this month,

• First verify both charges carefully;

• Check:
– Exact charge amounts
– Transaction dates
– Apple, Google Play, Roku, or PayPal subscriptions
– Multiple HBO Max/Max accounts
– Family/shared account purchases

– HBO Max states duplicate charges can happen from multiple accounts or temporary authorization holds.

• Check your HBO Max subscription settings;

• Verify:
– Active subscriptions
– Billing provider
– Renewal dates
– Add-ons billed separately

– Some users accidentally subscribe through both HBO Max directly and app stores.

• Cancel duplicate subscriptions immediately if found;

– iPhone → Settings > Subscriptions
– Android → Google Play > Payments & Subscriptions
– Roku/Amazon → Subscription management page

– Deleting the app alone will NOT stop billing
