HBO Max Subscription Charges Continued Even After I Canceled My Card
For the past three months, my Yapı Kredi World credit card has been charged approximately $6 per month by “Iyzico/HBO Max,” even though I never created any subscription or membership. During this process, I did not receive any notification or approval SMS, and I only noticed the situation later while checking my account activity. Even after canceling my card, today I received another message saying, “Iyzico HBO Max approximately $6 has been reflected to your debit card,” and I can now see a total of four separate charges of approximately $6 each.
After discovering the issue, I first contacted my bank, Yapı Kredi. They canceled my card and told me to contact Iyzico. When I contacted Iyzico, they informed me that I needed to speak with HBO Max. I then reached HBO Max customer service and clearly explained that I had never created any membership, never logged into their system, should not have any account registered under my information, and had never received any notification regarding these charges. Despite requesting a full refund of all payments, I still have not received any proper response, clarification, or solution.
Repeated charges being made without my knowledge or approval through a membership that does not even appear to belong to me is completely unacceptable both in terms of security and customer satisfaction. I request that Yapı Kredi, Iyzico, and HBO Max jointly identify the total amount withdrawn from my card and urgently issue a full refund. I also demand a written explanation detailing through which membership/account these transactions were made and under what authorization they were processed, along with a formal investigation into the security of my card information.
