On December 6, 2024, I reserved a car through Greenmotion’s website for a two-day rental starting December 7. As part of the process, I received a request to approve my Findeks risk report, which I promptly completed. However, this is where the issues began.
Despite my immediate action, I received no follow-up for hours. Eventually, I had to call their customer service, where I was told I’d hear back the following morning. In my experience with other car rental companies, Findeks reports are processed in seconds, with results provided on the spot. This delay was unusual but I decided to wait.
The next morning, still no update. With just an hour left before I was scheduled to pick up the car, I called again and was told there was a system issue. Shortly after, I received a message stating my request was denied.
This was frustrating, as I’ve regularly rented cars from reputable companies without ever facing Findeks-related issues. I only tried Greenmotion because of their promotional offer, which I now deeply regret. To resolve the issue, I quickly contacted a trusted rental company who approved my Findeks report over the phone, allowing me to pick up my car without delay.
To anyone considering Greenmotion: spend a little more and rent from a reliable, established provider. Greenmotion’s practices seem designed to frustrate customers, as many others have noted. This was a disappointing and avoidable experience.
