GCash Refund Request for Unauthorized Starread Technology Payment

I am filing a complaint regarding an unauthorized charge made to my GCash account via the GCash app by Hong Kong VCreation Cloud Technology Limited / Starread Technology Limited, and I am requesting a full refund of this amount. On August 22, 2026, an amount of ₱699.00 was deducted from my GCash account under the name “Hong Kong VCreation Cloud Technology Limited” without my permission. I did not authorize this transaction, did not agree to any subscription, and did not knowingly register on any platform belonging to this company. I only became aware of the problem when I opened my GCash app and saw that this deduction had been made. I also have a transaction record showing a payment of ₱699.00 to Starread Technology Limited, which confirms that the charge was processed without my consent. The ₱699.00 that was taken was not extra money or a spare balance. I had set this amount aside to pay my water bill, and because of this unauthorized deduction I was unable to use the funds for that essential expense. I contacted GCash customer support about this situation and explained that the transaction was unauthorized, but I was only advised to contact the merchant directly. I do not have the email address or any direct contact information for Hong Kong VCreation Cloud Technology Limited or Starread Technology Limited, so this guidance did not help me resolve the issue. I consider this an unauthorized and unjustified charge. I respectfully request that the ₱699.00 be fully refunded to my GCash account as soon as possible and that Hong Kong VCreation Cloud Technology Limited / Starread Technology Limited be permanently blocked from charging my account again in the future. I also ask for written confirmation once the refund has been processed and the merchant has been blocked from further debits. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly, and I am ready to provide any additional information or documents reasonably required to complete the refund process.
