Garanti BBVA Issued My Bonus Platinum Card With Zero Limit and Won't Increase It
I applied for the Garanti Bonus Platinum card on September 2, and after persistent follow-ups, I finally received it on October 25. To my surprise, the card came with a ₺0 limit, and they refused to increase it despite my reducing credit limits by more than half at other banks. No explanation was given for this refusal. I was told to visit a branch with income documentation, where it might be "evaluated" and possibly raised. Why issue a card with no usable limit in the first place? The entire process was supposed to be remote, including a video call to become a Garanti customer, yet now I’m expected to visit the branch for simple income verification. I’ve never encountered such a disappointing banking experience. I’ve already canceled the card after just a week. Thanks, Garanti, for this regrettable experience.
