Garanti BBVA Bonus Card Did Not Increase My Limit Despite Reducing Other Limits
I applied for the Garanti BBVA Bonus credit card because the institution where I wanted to set up an automatic payment order only had an agreement with your bank. The card was delivered to me, and I was informed that it would arrive with a zero balance due to my limits with other credit cards. Since I needed a limit of ₺105,000, I reduced the limit of my other bank’s credit card by ₺120,000. However, I cannot increase the limit of my Garanti BBVA Bonus card by the same amount. I received the following response: "Your limit increase request has been approved, but your limit could not be increased because the total credit card limits across banks have exceeded the legal limit restriction. To reapply, you can provide additional income documentation at our branches or reduce the limits of your other bank cards and submit a new request." Despite explaining the situation at the branch, no solution was provided. I request the limit of my card to be increased to at least ₺105,000 (considering I already reduced my other bank's card limit by ₺120,000 a month ago). If this is not possible, I ask for the cancellation of the card before any fees are charged.
