Garanti BBVA Deducted Pension Fees Without My Consent

Garanti Bank has made a management fee deduction under the name of 'Gehaş Pension System' without my consent. When I called the bank, they told me that since I didn’t exit the system within two months from the contract start date, I wouldn’t be able to withdraw my money for five years. They also stated that the only option was to freeze the account, and if I don’t make regular payments during these five years, they will continue deducting management fees from the principal already taken from me. In other words, even though ₺4,000 was deducted without my permission, they will keep charging fees for five years, and by the time I’m allowed to exit, I won’t be able to reclaim my principal. On March 14, 2025, I went to the Natoyolu Branch just to open a payroll account, and they told me they were sending a verification code to my phone to complete the process. I probably approved something through the mobile app at that moment, but no verbal or written explanation was provided. Had I been informed, I would never have accepted. I only realized the seriousness of the situation after noticing the deductions. Garanti Bank is deducting money from its customers under the name of a pension system and offers no resolution. On July 7, 2025, I spoke with Mr. T*** and Ms. G*** from customer service but received no satisfactory solution. Despite requesting a refund, the bank refuses to return the money in the system. I became a Garanti customer only because my employer deposits salaries through this bank. I will make sure to share this unfair experience with all my friends and family.
