My Ford 1.0 Ecoboost Engine Failure Issue

During the engine replacement, the employees of Ford Otosan and Bursa Sönmez Koç service; with the helpfulness and interest shown by Mr. Mete and the Technical Service Manager, they repaired my vehicle with a very good discount. They provided a replacement vehicle for 2 months. I extend my thanks to them.

I am the owner of a Ford 1.0 Ecoboost vehicle. Despite regular servicing, my car experienced a complete engine failure at 8 years and 116,000 km. The entire engine needs to be replaced. Upon researching online, I found that Ford in the USA acknowledged the issue and initiated a recall for part replacement. Similarly, in the UK, Ford announced that they would replace engines for vehicles under 10 years and 150,000 miles, even offering refunds for previous repairs done at authorized service centers.

There are hundreds of such vehicles in our country that should receive the same service. It is our natural right to request this service from the highest authority, whether it is Ford Otosan or higher. We are suffering; my car is now worthless. On June 22, 2024, another vehicle of the same model experienced the same issue, as shared in online groups. This issue is growing rapidly. Will Ford Otosan still not take any action?

Additionally, the timing belt is listed as needing replacement at 135,000 km in the service intervals, and for this reason, I believe the service center never checked it. The USA and UK have considered this a mistake. We expect the same acknowledgment from Ford Turkey. The damage to the engine is caused 90% of the time by the timing belt or the melting of the oil pump belt, which results in the oil pump getting clogged.
