I made a reservation for a hotel in Istanbul through Hotels.com for May 10-12. Due to a flight delay on May 10, I couldn't check into the hotel after midnight as it wasn't communicated to me via email. When I arrived at the hotel on May 11, thinking my reservation was still valid, the hotel staff informed me that they couldn't accommodate me because my reservation was canceled due to not checking in the previous day, without any prior notice or written notification. I couldn't reach Hotels.com customer service; their phone numbers were unavailable, and I couldn't contact anyone via online chat as they are a subsidiary of Expedia. While waiting for the issue to be resolved at the hotel, I expressed to the hotel staff that this situation was unacceptable, there were many others like me with reservations, and those experiencing such issues would want to communicate with someone in authority. I conveyed my dissatisfaction for not receiving the service I paid for, stating that I would follow up on this matter and seek legal recourse to assert my rights.
