I made a no-prepayment reservation through Expedia Group for a one-night stay at Aks Royal Hotel in Amasya for the dates July 8–9. Before the check-in date, I contacted the hotel directly and canceled the reservation, assuming everything was settled since I hadn’t paid in advance.
However, I was shocked to find out that Expedia later charged my credit card for the night I never stayed. I immediately followed up with the hotel, but the management refused to take responsibility, claiming they never processed the payment and that Expedia did so independently.
They told me to contact Expedia, but provided a non-working phone number, making it impossible to reach a real person. I’ve been unjustly charged for a stay that was properly canceled, and neither the hotel nor Expedia is offering a solution.
This is a clear case of unauthorized billing, and I’m requesting a full refund of the ₺ amount charged. I also ask that Expedia review their communication practices and ensure they provide working contact information for urgent matters like this.
Please resolve my issue immediately and stop ignoring legitimate customer complaints.
