Trip.com Has Not Refunded My $102 Eurowings Ticket
I purchased a Berlin–Gothenburg flight operated by Eurowings through Trip.com, with reference number 1638323813445421, scheduled to depart on August 28 at 3:45 PM. The flight was delayed by approximately one and a half hours. Following the delay, Trip.com presented me with an option to cancel the booking, and I confirmed the cancellation through the platform.
Despite confirming my cancellation request, I later received an email from Trip.com informing me that my cancellation request had been rejected. In addition, even though the flight subsequently departed, I have still not received a refund of the approximately $102 I paid for the ticket.
I called customer service repeatedly in an attempt to resolve the issue. During my last conversation, at approximately 5:39 PM on Friday, August 28, I was told that the matter was being investigated and that I would receive a response shortly. However, I have not received any further information from either Trip.com or Eurowings since that conversation, and I have not been given a clear explanation regarding the cancellation or refund process.
There are records showing that I confirmed the cancellation through Trip.com and subsequently received an email stating that my cancellation request had been rejected. In light of these records, I request that the inconvenience I have experienced be resolved, that I be given a clear explanation of why the process was handled this way, and that the full $102 ticket payment be refunded to me as soon as possible.
