Europcar Gave Me a Lower Segment Vehicle Instead of My Reserved Car

On October 26, 2024, I reserved a vehicle through Europcar with reservation code CWRA5085865. However, when I arrived at the office, I was informed that the car I booked was unavailable. Instead, they offered me a Renault Express, claiming it was the only option. Since other rental companies also had no vehicles, I had no choice but to accept it.

To my surprise, when I went to the parking lot, I saw 27 empty cars, including one in the same segment as the one I reserved. It appears Europcar deliberately withheld these vehicles, likely to increase profits by renting out higher-demand cars to others. They handed me an unsuitable commercial vehicle with a stiff steering wheel, which is difficult to use.

I am deeply disappointed with Europcar's lack of professionalism. This is unacceptable from an international rental company endorsed by institutions like Garanti Bank and others. The car has remained unused in my hotel garage while I’ve been forced to rely on taxis. I will escalate this matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and relevant tourism authorities if a resolution is not provided promptly.
