I Got Charged 5 Times by Europcar Without Booking or Receiving a Car

On May 12, 2025, I was shocked to find that my credit card had been charged five separate times by Europcar for car rental fees. However, I never completed a reservation. While attempting to book a car on the Europcar website that day, I encountered a system error and the process did not go through. I never received a confirmation email, never visited a branch, and certainly never picked up a vehicle.
There was no valid reservation and absolutely no service provided. Yet, multiple charges were still processed on my card without authorization or service fulfillment. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the company’s billing practices.
I am formally requesting that the full amount charged to my card be refunded immediately. I expect a prompt resolution and clear communication regarding the status of this refund. If this issue is not resolved quickly, I will have no choice but to escalate it through my bank and file a formal complaint with consumer protection authorities.
