If Etihad Airways lost your checked luggage, you should report it right away at the airport's customs desk before you leave.
You will get a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) there, which is necessary to find your bags and make any future claims. If you've already left the airport, you have 48 hours to report the loss to the baggage services team at the airport where you arrived.
Use Etihad's online tracking system to find out what's going on with your delayed luggage. To get changes, you'll need the File Reference Number that came with your PIR. You can check this tool to see up-to-date information as Etihad tries to find and return your bags.
While you wait for your bags, you can file a claim to get the money back for the things you had to buy because of the delay. Make sure you file this claim within 21 days of telling them your bags were late. If you still can't find your bags after 21 days, Etihad will consider them lost and get in touch with you to help.
If none of the above solutions work, please feel free to share your experience. You can also file a complaint on our website.
