Etihad Airways Baggage Damage Claim



Dear Etihad Airways Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding damage to my checked baggage while traveling with Etihad Airways. My name is Harmanpreet S***, and I recently traveled from Delhi (DEL) to Al Qassim (ELQ) via Abu Dhabi (AUH) on June [insert date], 2025. My booking reference is 8I5SWW, and my e-ticket number is 6072410492512. I am also a member of your frequent flyer program; my number is 500086049433. I was on flight EY219 from Delhi to Abu Dhabi and then connected to flight EY627 from Abu Dhabi to Gassim. Upon arrival at Al Qassim Airport, I discovered that my American Tourister bag was significantly damaged, apparently due to mishandling during the journey. The bag, which weighed 19 kg, was within the baggage allowance and in excellent condition at the time of check-in. The damage has rendered the bag unusable, and I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my luggage. I expect Etihad Airways to take full responsibility for this matter. I have attached the baggage label and photos of the damaged bag for your reference. I kindly request appropriate compensation or a replacement for the damaged item.
